Fashion Photo Shoot with Models Poppy & Bailey
The dynamic duo! What a photo shoot! Originally Poppy had reached out and wanted to do a fashion shoot with us. She had just completed working the runway at the Phoenix Fashion Show and really wanted to explore building a modeling portfolio. We were looking to put together a 2 model session, so I offered that option, as long as she could recruit a model to work with. She managed to corral an amazing young lady, Bailey, who happens to be represented by the Ford/Robert Black Agency and was an amazing partner for Poppy to flow with.
Fashion Forward
They both rocked the Michael Kors skirt and dresses! What can I say, they were throwing the right mix of attitude and beauty to really make this set pop.
Denim and Tees
We really focused on creating a magazine ad look and feel to this set. We are extremely proud how well these ladies worked to pull it off. It was a lot of fun watching them settle in to their sync with each other, using each other to pose off of… They Crushed It!
Fashion Ad or Movie Poster?
Which do you see? Ok I’m going to date myself a bit here, but personally it reminds me of a 80’s cover from TV Guide, promoting a female police detective drama… Yeah I’m that old, I remember the bulky delivery to the mail box every week. The bible to which you sacrificed your evening schedule…but I digress.
The black jeans and sport coat theme was entirely of my Wardrobe Stylist’s doing. She really out did herself with this one…with so little to work with (but that’s another story I’ll let her tell in the future).
So the black on black on black look was all tied together with a simple, large down light setup. It gave just enough light in the right places to help separate all the blacks and created it’s own unique shadow patterns to accent the theme.
Best of 2019
It’s going to take something really special to top this shoot and we will certainly try…but there is no doubt that this is our most favorite of the year so far. Special thank you to Bailey for agreeing to do the shoot and to Poppy for her work ethic in pursuing this opportunity. We see bright things happening in these girls futures!
